Not ideal
I love the look and the idea but it wasn’t thought out throughly. Who on earth is going to screw and unscrew and not expect for the holes on the wall or where it’s screwed on to stay the same without damaging wall and the hole over and over? This is a huge downfall for a such a nice piece. Not only have to unscrew it from the wall each time It needs to be emptied but also suggests to unscrew the basket as well or empty the basket with your fingers? It’s a lot easier to just walk a few steps to the garbage and hope to make it in the garbage if I’m not too drunk..lol This is a FAIL! It should’ve been a magnetic basket to detach and empty and able to put it back and not mess up my wall. Oh and it’s a lot darker than the picture! A lot… if it wasn’t for the inconvenience of the screwing and unscrewing to empty the basket I would’ve gave it a 5 star because it is sturdy, rustic and cute!

Came damaged, overall great product
Got this with cyber Monday deal for my husband. He really loves it and enjoys using it for his after work chillax beer time.
I was really disappointed tho, when I opened the box it it was clearly damaged. Scratch on wood part and metal part looks rusted or paint got somehow messed up. Maybe it was used. I ordered it brand new tho.
I wanted to claim it and return to get new one. But my husband liked it so much he mounted on the porch pillar right away. Since I didn’t pay whole a lot of money and it will get scratched and the paint on metal part will probably fade as he uses it anyways, I didn’t bother to go through returning process. Just decided to keep it as is.
Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

Works very well
I have purchased several bottle openers for outside bbq and pergola areas. They are not all so easy to use or they spoil your beer when you try. This works perfect, and the tops do fall into the basket. I did put 2 coats of polyurethane on it to protect from the weather.
