They do open bottles, magnets aren't attached well.
Believe it or not, I've had some bottle openers that wouldn't even work to open bottles, no matter how cool they looked. These do not have that issue, they remove bottle caps just like they should.
General construction is pretty no-frills, but the wood handles look nice. Like other reviewers, I've had some trouble with the magnets coming out and staying stuck to the fridge when I grab the opener. Definite room for improvement there. Definitely plan on doing some gluing if you use the magnets on these. Other than that, these are decent for the $10 price tag.

Opens a bottle like it should
What can I say, it opens a beer bottle. I knocked off a star because both of them have 2 button magnets in the handle for sticking to a fridge or whatever. 1 magnet in each fell out before I even stuck them to anything. Needed to epoxy them back in myself. Other than that they work well.

One of the magnet pieces was missing.
Not a high tech product. And yet it can be messed up. How difficult is it to use glue to connect a magnet to a piece of wood? I'd do it myself but unfortunately the magnet is missing. Good thing this order included two bottle openers. So at least one is usable.

Magnets popped off
The over all use of this is great but after putting it on the fridge once both magnets came off.

No-frills bottle opener
So, my husband has developed this kind habit. He likes to purchase glass bottles of C@ca C@la which has been bottled in Mexico (don’t know if I’m allowed to mention the name brand here). This soda has a reputation for tasting better since it is made with cane sugar, and everyone has fond memories of drinking it from a glass bottle. He refrigerates the bottles until they are icy cold and then gives one to each worker we hire onto our property - to paint a wall or fix some concrete, etc. He has started trying to catch the USPS, UPS, FedEx and Amazon drivers, too. It’s fun and everyone seems to appreciate it - especially in the heat of a Georgia summer. What is not so much fun for me is that if someone doesn’t want to open their drink right away he will give them both the drink AND my bottle opener! So I have some experience in buying bottle openers. These are substantial, do their job, and are kind of no-frills. Perfect for me. They have small magnets imbedded in the wooden handles. Since I keep my openers in a drawer I don’t need this magnet feature. Overall I would recommend.

Guess What!...they open bottles...
They do what they are supposed to...open bottles. I have one on my grill and one on my fridge. They seem to be made well and I like the light-stained wood. Only complaint is that some of the magnets aren't attached well, so you may have to add more glue. But they do hold up on any metal surface really well! In terms of value, these are comparatively priced to like items. Overall, RECOMMEND.

Excellent Pair of Wooden Bottle Openers
These are excellent bottle openers. Easy to store and use. I have placed them on the side of the fridge thanks to the magnets. Wooden handles makes them easy to hold. I wish the handles were a little longer but all in all good set of bottle openers.

Works well
I got these for my brother's house. He hosts several parties a year, and for some reason, never has a bottle opener. I got these so he can put one on each fridge and it's handy. The magnet sticks well, the bottle opener works.
