Effortless Bottle Opening
We primarily use this accessory to open wine bottles. It's finally a quality product, despite the manufacturer not being well-known. Of course, it's also used for opening beer bottles, but its main use for us is in opening wine bottles. It's convenient to use, doesn't take up too much space in the drawer, and it's durable—unlike previous products we had that used to break. It's not suitable for traveling and camping, but rather for kitchen use only.

Sturdy, culturally blah
This corkscrew seems much sturdier than a previously owned similar corkscrew that had wings weaker than a cork or a glass bottle. The writeup claims this is a new improved version, and appears to be so. My reasons for four instead of five stars has to do with the blah, and lack of cultural adventuresomeness of the basic design of the corkscrew. you insert the point, and screw it to the right (clockwise). Why not to the left, just for fun? Lefsies are ignored. The leveraged wings are convenient but inelegant and not stylish - reminds me of the stale wing doors of the ancient DeLorian. Try that at a Walmart parking lot. One would expect a modern, elegant, exciting insertion, screw, cork pop, and dignified cork retrieval from a well designed corkscrew.
